  • Do you have HICAPS?

We have a HICAPS terminal at our Southern River location only and all your claims can be processed at time of payment.

Unfortunately, this is not available onsite at Baldivis. All appointments are to be paid in full on the day and an invoice will be printed out for you with the necessary details for you to process your claim online.

  • Do you accept care plans from GPs?

Yes, we do. You will need to scan and E-Mail your care plan to us at elynn.pelvichealthpt@gmail.com prior to attending your first appointment.

Please note that you will have to pay the full fee upfront on the day of your appointment and submit the claim to Medicare on your own.

  • Do I need a doctor's referral?

No, you don’t need a doctor’s referral for a physiotherapy consult. It will not affect the rebate you receive from your private health fund.

  • Do I really need an internal examination?

An internal examination will help to identify to what extent your pelvic floor muscles contribute to your symptom/s and also helps your physiotherapist prescribe the more effective treatment based on examination findings.

Your physiotherapist will explain what happens during the examination and you will be given time to consider whether you’d like to proceed or not. You do not have to have an internal examination if you do not want it, however, it may not be as beneficial compared to having one.

  • I am currently menstruating, is it still okay to come in?

Having your period will not affect the assessment itself, however, if you experience heavy bleeding or pain during your cycle, we are happy to postpone your appointment. We want you to be comfortable during your consultation with us!

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We do require at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment so it can be offered to someone else in need. A charge equal to 50% of the consultation fee will apply for late cancellation or non-attendance.
